Do I need an appointment to shop for prom dresses?

At Black Tie and White Satin, an appointment is never required for Prom or Homecoming shopping. If you want a more tailored experience, we have appointments available for Pageant consulting and special VIP Prom appointments available from December-April.

What are your price ranges?

Here at Black Tie and White Satin, we believe there’s a dress for every budget. We have gowns starting at $49 for short dresses and $99 for long.  If you are on a budget, please let us know and we will help you find the perfect dress in your budget.

How long does it take to get my custom order?

If the gown is in stock, it should arrive within 2-3 weeks. If the dress is still in production, we will text or call you with a ship date. All of our Black Tie and White Satin stylists will communicate with you about your particular ship date.

If I order the wrong size gown, will you take it back or let me exchange it?

Your stylist will work with you to select a size; every designer has a different size chart and different styles call for different sizes. These numbers do not always correlate with your every day size so please trust our Black Tie and White Satin stylists. Once a deposit is applied, all sales are final. There are no exchanges or returns.  This final sales policy is consistent with the industry standard for bridal and special occasion apparel.

Do you have layaway?

We require 50% of the total price to reserve the gown for you. Final payment is due before the gown leaves Black Tie and White Satin. Dresses must be picked up within 30 days after the given wear date.

What forms of payment do you accept?

At Black Tie and White Satin, we accept: Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, debit cards, personal check with a valid driver’s license
and cash.

How many dressing rooms do you have?

Black Tie and White Satin now has 32 dressing rooms available upstairs in our prom loft!

Do you rent prom gowns?

We are sorry, we do not rent gowns. Please shop our great sale room for a fabulous selection on
a budget.

Can I buy a dress off the rack the same day?

Yes! At Black Tie and White Satin, you can take home your prom or homecoming dress the same day. All of our dresses are available to buy off the rack, as well as options for ordering other sizes and colors.
